thanx alot
this driver doesn't work with my Canoscan D646U on Windows Server 2003 x64 R2
VueScan, also works on my Windows 7 system (Drivers: http://www.hamrick.com/)
Under Windows 7 I've installed this driver--apparently successfully, rebooted with & without scanner plugged in, but still get the message:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
Any suggestions on how to get past this point?
This worked perfectly for the canon n67ou scanner under windows7.
thank you
you save me if it works great thinks
I doesn't works with D1250 U2 scanner. Any one knows any more about ?
Thanks
Still no luck with my LiDE 50 running on Vista 64. Vuescan does support this old scanner but only if the CanonScan software is already installed. Of course that is the problem - the CanonScan software doesn't support my scanner! I'll fool around some more but it doesn't look good.
We also have vuescan on 64bitdrivers: Vuescan for x64
Thank you! Thank you! I downloaded the Vuescan program listed but found I had to go to Control Panel / Device Drivers then fine the scanner, click on the little icon that indicated a problem, then tell it where to find the VueScan program and we were off and running. I use my Canon N1240 to scan small 3" x 3" images of various fabrics that I import into Electric Quilt to design quilts with actual colors/prints, before I spend a fortune on mistakes. You have really made my day!!!!
Try VueScan, it comes with x64 Drivers: http://www.hamrick.com/
Works with my N1240U on Vista x64 SP1
No, sorry Nik, tried the site you suggested, nothing there that works with the Lide 80 i`m afraid, any other suggestions, i have noticed that Canon are starting to post 64 bit drivers for other Lide scanners though
Apparently you can get your LIDE Scanner working using the 'scan for hardware changes' from this site:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=DownloadDetailAct&fcategoryid=351&modelid=11463
The driver does`nt work with my canon lide 80 scanner, running 64 bit vista, although the canon toolbox works but asks for show source..... any help would be appreciated

thanks for letting us know. the offending link has been removed.
Don't try to install the software from the previous posting (toggle.com). Will install spyware and redirect your browser's home page. The driver for the LIDE 60 doesn't work anyway. For more about toggle.com, read:

yes it doesn't work with 1240u, i've checked many forums and still no answer for this issue
Doesn't work with N1240U.
I quote Tried...
We cannot guarantee that this driver will work with your scanner - it is only a suggested driver.
This driver claims that it is a unified driver. It's not. After installing it my scanner would still not work, and I had to use System Restore to get rid of it, because it destabilized my PC.
you need to extract the zip, then run the SetupSG file which then also unarchives the files to another directory. Either that or use winzip to extract the files to a directory. You should then see CNQL500.INF file which you can point the driver update dialogue to.
I have N1240U scanner and are running 64-bit Vista. Installed the driver but the scanner still doesn't work. It seems the installation file creates a folder on c:\CanonScan but I wasn't successfull pointing my driver instalation dialog to that folder.
